Another Sunday another 10k freeroll and 20k guaranteed. This weekend, however, my shifts allow for me to participate in the later so all geared up for 2 large tours I set about trying to win.
Doing pretty well in the 10k I quickly run up to about 10k in chips. This is how I stay for nearly an hour slightly more slightly less, just hovering around the 10k mark. A feww hands then start to click together and I race up to about 30k here I stay until there are about 180 players left. Having spent most of the tour in the top 10/15 I find the cards take a change for the worse and I fall right away. The bubble bursts but alas no more hands of note and I eventually end up going out at 78th picking up $25.
The 20k is a harder event. Not so many people willing to throw all away cheaply. Still I manage to get up to about 3/4k in chips and spend most of the tour in and around here. Staying in and around here I last until about the last 40. 10 to go till the bubble and I now have the opertunity to steal a few blinds. As I have played relatively few hands all tour the occasion that I elect to push to steal blinds, I find that I take them unchallenged. Even pushing twice in a row meets no opposition. I get up around the 10/12k mark using this tact enabling me to see the bubble burst. As the blinds and antis increase coupled with a reluctance of players to let me steal now that they have cashed my stack starts to dwindle. 2 hands finally put pay to me, sitting on 12k needing to I once again push. Holding 99 I have 1 caller showing AQoff catches both his whole cards to clear 4k off me. Good job he was short stacked. 2 hands later I get 88 and with most of the table folded I again push. 1 caller again n guess what shows AQoff. this time catching a Q on the turn takes me out in 19th place. $200 for 3 1/2 hrs work not a bad return but would have liked 1 of the pairs to hold up. The final table wasn't to far away and not that many chips needed to get there but that'll have to wait till my shifts next allow a crack at this tour. Thats the last 2 I have played I have managed to cash in. May be a lucky tour for me. Heres to next time

Lassur Team League
The Lassur team league is now again underway. Our team had its first games on Sunday. With Barry sitting this one out, Me, Kat and Pierre played. We all managed average results in our individual games, both Kat an Pierre finished 6th and I finished 5th. This gave us a 13pt tally putting us in joint 7th of the 9. Upon seeing this we can see just how important it is to try and get to those top 2 places points wise.
With Kat's turn to sit out this Sunday, lets look for a better return this time round and start to move up the table. Good luck to Pierre and to Barry in his first game.
